Ntarama Genocide Memorial

Located in Bugesera Region, this is of the scenes of the 1994 Rwanda Genocide. The church and its contents is a reminder of the violence that took place when the Tutsis were sorrounded and killed.

This is one of the many massacres at churches that were so typical of the Rwandan genocide. It’s one of the six National Museum sites of this type and has seen a lot of developments over the years.

Some 5000 Rwandan Tutsis are believed to have been murdered here.
