Rebero Genocide Memorial

The Rebero Genocide Memorial stands as a tribute to the victims of the genocide that perpetrated against the Tutsi who were massacred after being abandoned by the UN troops at ETO kicukiro.

Thousands of the victims of the genocide are burried here including 12 politicians who were killed for standing up to the genocidal government in 1994. The politicians burried here strived for human rights, justice, unity and development as well as democracy the very principles that have guided the rebuilding of Rwanda after the 1994 Genocide.
